दुल्हन बनने की तैयारी कोई एक-दो दिन का काम नहीं है बल्कि शादी तय होते ही अपने शरीर एवं सौंदर्य की देखभाल शुरू कर देनी चाहिये। दुल्हन के सौंदर्य में केवल चेहरे का ही नहीं सिर से लेकर पैर एवं हाथों तक का महत्व होता है। शादी से काफी पहले से ही हाथ और पैरों की उचित देखभाल और खान-पान का ख्याल रखने के साथ-साथ चेहरे की त्वचा का उपचार तथा रख-रखाव भी शुरू कर देना चाहिए। आम तौर पर पहले दुल्हन का मेकअप खुद दुल्हन नहीं बल्कि घर, पास-पड़ोस एवं रिश्ते की लड़कियां एवं महिलायें करती थीं। अब समय बदल गया है, हर युवती यह चाहती है कि वह सबसे सुंदर दुल्हन बने। शीला जी ने बताया कि दुल्हन का श्रृंगारशुरू करने के पहले यह ध्यान में रखते है कि उसकी त्वचा कैसी है- तैलीय, सूखी या सामान्य। त्वचा के अनुरूप ही दुल्हन का श्रृंगार किया जाता है, क्योंकि गलत देखभाल और गलत मेकअप से भयंकर परिणाम सामने आ सकते हैं। मिसाल के तौर पर त्वचा की जांच किये बिने फेशियल देने से त्वचा खूबसूरत होने की बजाय दानों मुहांसों से भर सकती है। त्वचा के अनुरूप ही उबटन, फेशियल, मेनिक्योर, पेडीक्योर, मेंहदी, आदि की जाती है जिससे चेहरा साफ हो जाता है और चेहरे पर चमक आ जाती है।

शीलाजी का कहना है कि, जिन लड़कियों की त्वचा तैलीय है उन्हें शुरू से ही खान-पान में तैलीय चीजों का कम प्रयोग करना चाहिए। हफ्ते में एक बार त्वचा पर अच्छे ब्राइडल पैक का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिये। मेकअप करने से पहले ब्यूटी उपचार करना जरूरी होता है। जैसे अगर त्वचा पर दाग-धब्बे हैं तो चार-पांच हफ़ते पहले से ही उसका उपचार किया जाए जिससे त्वचा के खुले छिद्र बंद हो जाएं और त्वचा पर पड़े दाग-धब्बे एवं निशान बिल्कुल साफ हो जाए।

इसी तरह अगर त्वचा बहुत रूखी है तो मेकअप करने पर झुर्रियां सी प्रतीत होती है जिससे चेहरा देखने में बहुत खराब लगता है और इससे मेकअप का गेटअप ही खत्म हो जाता है। इसलिए शादी से कुछ हफ़ते पहले से ही हम त्वचा को उपचार देते हैं, इससे रूखी और बेजान त्वचा भी चमकने लगेगी।

शीलाजी ने बताया कि बढ़ते प्रदूषण के कारण चेहरे पर काफी मृत त्वचा इकट्ठा हो जाती है जिससे त्वचा मुरझायी सी लगती है और त्वचा पर चमक नहीं रहती। इसके लिए मृत त्वचा को हटाने (रिमूवल ऑफ डेड स्किन) का उपचार करने से त्वचा तरोताजा हो जाती है।

मेकअप करते समय दुल्हन की पोशाक के रंग को भी ध्यान में रखते हैं, क्योंकि मेकअप और ड्रेस के रंग का तालमेल होना बहुत जरूरी है। जैसे थोड़ी कम गोरी दुल्हन पर पीच रंग, गेहुंए रंग पर मैरून या सुनहरा रंग अच्छा लगता है जबकि गोरे रंग पर हर रंग की पोशाक अच्छी लगती है। ड्रेस का चुनाव करते समय मौसम को भी ध्यान में रखना जरूरी है। सर्दियों में गाढ़े व चटकीले रंग अच्छे लगते हैं जबकि गर्मियों में हल्के और वसंत ऋतु में फूलों वाले रंग के ड्रेस फबते हैं। इससे तालमेल करता हुआ बेहतरीन मेकअप दुल्हन की सुंदरता में चार चांद लगा देता है।

शीलाजी का कहना है कि, मेकअप से पहले त्वचा की ग्रूमिंग बहुत जरूरी है इससे दुल्हन की सारी थकान दूर हो जाती है। इसलिए शादी वाले दिन मेकअप शुरू करने के कम से कम आधा घंटा पहले त्वचा की ग्रूमिग की जाती है। मेकअप करते समय ड्रेस, जेवर और चेहरे की त्वचा के रंग को ध्यान में रखना जरूरी है। मेकअप से पहले यह देख लेना चाहिए कि चेहरे पर कोई दाग-धब्बा न हो। आई-ब्रो का आकार ठीक हो। अगर एक बाल भी अलग नजर आए तो उसी समय उसे निकाल दें। उसके बाद कोल्ड कम्प्रेशर देकर और पैक लगाकर मेकअप शुरू करें। सबसे पहले त्वचा के रंग से मेल खाती बेस लगाएं। अगर त्वचा बहुत सूखी है तो एक-दो बूंद मॉइश्चराइजर लगा दें या टोनर लगा दें। इसके बाद आंखों के आकार और ड्रेस से मैच करता आई शैडो और टफर लगाएं। उसके बाद लाइनर व मस्कारा लगाएं। उसके बाद आई ब्रो को बिल्कुल हल्की पेंसिल से सही आकार दें। इसके बाद चेहरे की बनावट और त्वचा के रंग के अनुसार गाल की उठी हुई हड्डी पर ब्लशर लगाएं और लिप पेंसिल से होठ को सही आकार देते हुए होठों पर ड्रेस के रंग से एक या दो नम्बर गहरे रंग की लिपस्टिक लगाएं। इसके बाद आखिर में आंखों के पास माथे के ऊपर वाले हिस्से पर डिजाइनर बिंदी लगाएं।

मेकअप के कुछ प्रमुख टिप्स

1. शीला जी ने बताया कि ब्राइडल बुकिंग 4 से 8 हते पहले कराएं ताकि सौंदर्य विशेषज्ञ आपको आपकी त्वचा संबंधित जानकारियां दे सके।

2. मेकअप सुंदरता को निखारने के लिए करें न कि अपनी वास्तविकता को दबाने के लिए।

3. मेकअप से पहले समारोह का समय और अतिथियों की संख्या के बारे में पता कर लें। क्योंकि कम अतिथि होने पर या दिन के समारोह में गहरा मेकअप देखने में बहुत बुरा लगता है।

4. मेकअप करते समय शरीर के हर हिस्से पर ध्यान दें। गंदे हाथ-पैर आपकी सुंदरता को खराब कर सकते हैं।

5. मेकअप चेहरे की बनावट और रंग को ध्यान में रखते हुए करें।

6. मेकअप से पहले फेस ट्रीटमेंट जरूर लें।

7. मेकअप से पहले त्वचा की ग्रूमिग अवश्य करें।

8. मेकअप और ड्रेस के रंग तथा डिजाइन का तालमेल होना जरूरी है।
